Can it be
The years go flying by
32 is it now

Seems not so long ago
You were just a little guy
Our wee pride and joy
Stuff that money cannot buy

Now you are doing so well
There truly is no limit to your sky
Never lose site of that little one
Still there within you

So honour that presence
Every now and then
Because that essence of you
Is still there and growing

Even though at times
It seems you do not know what to do
Every step along the way
Is uniquely you

And know that you are loved
That will never change or die
No matter the age
Nor my own state of being

Or if you do or do not wear a tie
Memories come flooding in now
As I pen these thoughts of you
And the tears well up in my eyes

I love you and miss you
Even though I cannot kiss you
My spirit is there
And I wish you good cheer

On this special day
Time has a habit of taking them away
So live, love and enjoy the moments
And take all that life has to offer
Turning it all into great bundles of play
