Shades of Darkness

Shades of darkness
Brewing from within
Creeps slowly to my thoughts
Engulfing my weary mind

Having felt your wrath and fury
Zapping energy with such a force
I am stilled and rendered motionless
Energetic negation of who I am

Physically ill and unable to cope
Compounds this even more so
I want to cry out it seems so unfair
Yet, mind and body numb I stay stuck to this chair
