Somewhere In Time Two Old Souls Did Dance

Somewhere in time we met for coffee,

Seems to me something else in us was present
And these old friends got up to dance
Leaving us two to sense our way to each other

Enough of their immense energy did flow
To allow us to converse with ease
We bathed in the essence of their aura
On such a high plane beyond the physical world so

I wonder still what grand dance they did do,

And how they knew we would discover
Each other, and find in us an instant friend
For me it was only important to have found you

For sure they were oblivious to us wee mortals
And perhaps they knew we couldn’t miss
Our rediscovery from some other time
Your presence gave to me a peaceful bliss

At ease, with you, I was from the moment we met
This experience unknown to me in this life time
Beyond the rational realm we must transcend
It was their dance and now our journey has been set
